A 22-year-old ex-convict, Mohd Ibrahim, has been re-arrested by the Jigawa State Police Command for criminal conspiracy, house trespass, and theft.
Ibrahim was released from Kazaure Correctional Custody on June 22, 2024, only to be apprehended again on June 25 for allegedly breaking into Shehu Umar’s residence and stealing a laptop and phone worth N750,000 and N130,000 respectively.
Two accomplices, Hassan Shehu and Salman Ibrahim, have also been arrested in connection with the crime. Police recovered the stolen items from a recipient’s home.
The suspects have confessed to the crime, according to the police spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam.
