Nakuru detectives in Kenya are investigating the death of a 22-year-old college student, Eileen Cherotich, who reportedly died from injuries sustained after being ejected from a moving vehicle.
Cherotich, a business student at the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology, was found dead near the Eveready roundabout on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on Sunday morning, July 14, 2024. She had been out with friends in Nakuru town.
Preliminary investigations suggest that an argument with her boyfriend led to the tragic incident. Three suspects and a vehicle linked to the case are in custody at the Nakuru West police station.
In response, students from Cherotich’s college blocked the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on Sunday afternoon, demanding justice for their slain classmate.
The deceased’s body has been moved to the Nakuru County Referral Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem examination as investigations continue.
