Motorists have been left stranded after a portion of the Kano-Maiduguri expressway was washed away by flooding. This incident occurred between Malori and Guskuri Villages in the Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, visited the affected area on Thursday, August 8, and called on the Federal Government for urgent repairs to the damaged section. He emphasized the need for immediate intervention to prevent accidents and alleviate other difficulties caused by the damage.
Governor Mohammed stated: “The urgent intervention by the Federal Government is necessary to prevent accidents on the highway and mitigate other hardships.
“We will inform the Federal Government about the washed-away portion of the Azare to Bulkachuwa dual carriageway, and if they fail to respond promptly, we will address it ourselves.”
