A woman caused a scene at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos state by destroying her husband’s international passport and publicly disrespecting him.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 10, shortly after the woman, her husband, and their children arrived in Lagos from abroad.
In a video shared online, the woman is seen confronting someone who questioned her about tearing the passport. She responded unapologetically, saying, “Na me tear am,” and added, “Na your own?”
Scattered pieces of the torn passport were visible on the floor as customs officers, airport staff, and passengers observed the commotion.
Eventually, the woman instructed her children to follow her and told her husband, “If you want to sleep there, you sleep there,” before leaving with their son and daughter.
Other people at the airport advised the husband to stay calm, saying, “Bros, just take am easy.” Despite the situation, he remained composed and did not react aggressively. When he attempted to speak, someone advised him, “No talk. You be man. You be man. As you no talk, e dey OK.”
The husband, along with an airport staff member, later gathered the torn pieces of his passport. The man filming the video, who appeared to have been on the same flight, mentioned that the woman’s behavior began while they were still on the plane, noting, “Na so e be for inside flight since.”
