Suspected bandits have killed Pastor Peter Shebayan and another individual while abducting eight residents in Kaduna State. The pastor was killed at his mission station in Katul Crossing, Fadan Kamantra, within the Zangon Kataf Local Government Area on the night of Sunday, August 11, 2024.
In a separate attack, bandits targeted the Ruruma community in Kwassam, Kauru Local Government Area, on the early morning of Monday, August 12. The attack resulted in the death of Dr. Ishaya and the abduction of eight residents.
According to a Facebook post by resident Benzene Godwin, the kidnapped individuals include Mr. Dan’iya Barau, Mrs. Bitrust Dan’iya, Mrs. Esther Magada, Mr. Buba Mu’azu Tanko, Mr. Philip, Mr. Joshua Cyrus, Miss Bege Ezekial, and Mr. Joffrey Ezekiel.
Joffrey Ezekiel managed to escape and has returned home. The bandits also stole six motorcycles and 25 liters of fuel during the attack.
Benzene Godwin urged the community to “keep FAITH ALIVE” and continue praying for the safe return of the kidnapped victims and comfort for their families.
