Barrister ABK Offiah, a prominent youth leader and aide to Anambra Commissioner for Youths Development, Patrick Aghamba, was laid to rest in Onitsha on Sunday, August 18.
Offiah, who hailed from Onitsha and held the traditional title of Kpajiego, was tragically killed by kidnappers in Edo State while traveling with Commissioner Agha Mba and his wife Chizoba to Abuja for Governor Soludo’s daughter’s wedding.
The attack, which occurred just two days after Offiah celebrated his birthday on August 15, led to the kidnapping of the Commissioner and his wife, who have since been released.
A harrowing video circulating on social media captured the moment an ambulance carrying Offiah’s body arrived in Onitsha, met by the mournful wails of residents.
