Manchester City’s star striker, Erling Haaland, is making significant investments off the pitch as his business empire continues to grow. According to reports, Haaland is spending a substantial sum of £2.1 million ($2.8 million) on two private jets.
The Norwegian goal-scoring machine has been a dominant force in the Premier League, securing Golden Boots in each of his two seasons. His impressive start to the 2024-25 campaign, with four goals in two games, including another hat-trick, further solidifies his status as one of the world’s top strikers.
Haaland’s business acumen is as impressive as his football skills. His image rights firm, York Promotions Ltd, has ventured into the aviation industry. The company has acquired an interest in two aircraft for a total of £2,155,342.
York Promotions Ltd has amassed significant assets, with £12 million ($16 million) in assets and £7 million in cash. The company still has £5 million owed to Haaland by various brands he endorses. These funds are enabling the City frontman to travel in style with his newly acquired private jets.
Haaland’s entrepreneurial ambitions extend beyond aviation. The Mirror reports that his business model includes plans to enter the energy drink market, following in the footsteps of Argentine football legend Lionel Messi.
Haaland’s lawyers have filed paperwork at the UK’s Intellectual Property Office to trademark his name for various beverage products, including energy drinks.
