Nigeria Now Third-Largest IDA Debtor with $16.5 Billion Loan

As of June 30, Nigeria is the third-largest debtor to the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA).

The World Bank reports that Nigeria’s IDA loan exposure reached $16.5 billion by June.

This information was published in a financial statement dated June 30, 2024, recently released by the World Bank.

The IDA, a major part of the World Bank, offers concessional loans and grants to the world’s poorest countries.
