PSG Refuses to Pay Mbappe £50 Million

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has rejected an LFP ruling that requires them to pay Kylian Mbappe nearly £50 million in unpaid wages and bonuses. The dispute, which stems from Mbappe’s departure from the club this summer, is now headed to court.

The LFP ordered PSG to pay €55 million ($60 million) to Mbappe, covering unpaid wages and missing bonuses from his seven-year tenure. PSG has confirmed that they will not comply with the ruling.

Mbappe reportedly contacted UEFA last month to address the salary issue. He was due to receive a substantial signing bonus in February and is also seeking to recover his wages from the last three months of his contract with PSG.

The conflict arose from the uncertainty surrounding Mbappe’s departure from Parc des Princes. PSG has stated that they will present their case in a future legal proceeding.

PSG issued a statement: “Given the limits of the legal scope of the committee to make a complete decision on this case, the case must now be contested before another jurisdiction, to which PSG will be happy to present all the facts in the months and years to come.”
