Activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has announced his release after being briefly detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) upon his return to Nigeria on the morning of September 15.
Sowore, the convener of “Revolution Now,” first reported his arrest in a post on X. About 20 minutes later, he updated his followers to say he had been released.
He wrote: “”I have just been released by the Nigerian Immigration after a brief detention and my passport released back to me. #RevolutionNow.”
