Ex-Man United Player Jesse Lingard Under Investigation in South Korea Following Scooter Incident

Former Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard is facing a police investigation in South Korea after being seen riding an unlicensed electric scooter.

The incident occurred in the Apgujeong-dong neighborhood of Seoul on September 16.

The Gangnam Police Station initiated an investigation to determine if Lingard had an international license and whether he was under the influence of alcohol.

South Korean news agency Newsis reported that a football insider denied Lingard’s intoxication and claimed he was unaware that a license was required to ride the scooter.

Lingard’s team has reportedly informed him that riding an unlicensed scooter is not allowed. The player is said to have uploaded a picture of himself on the scooter on Snapchat before deleting it.

Lingard joined FC Seoul in February of this year and has scored four goals in 18 league games.
