Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, better known by his stage name Rudeboy, has once again confirmed the dissolution of the iconic music duo Psquare.
In a recent statement, Rudeboy expressed his desire to focus on his solo career, citing frustrations with the group’s dynamics.
Reflecting on his time with Psquare, Rudeboy stated, “Those days of ‘monkey dey work, baboon dey chop,’ I no dey do am again. So I rather dey work for myself.”
He expressed dissatisfaction with the unequal distribution of work and rewards within the group, emphasizing that he was the primary vocalist and songwriter.
With his latest statement, Rudeboy, who is presumed to be the problem within the group alongside his elder brother Jude, has definitively ruled out a reunion of Psquare, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated music duos.
