Raheem Sterling Warned He’s Just a ’25-Minute Man’ at Arsenal After Emirates Move

Raheem Sterling’s loan move to Arsenal from Chelsea could see him relegated to a bench role this season. After being sidelined at Chelsea, the winger joined Arsenal on loan and made brief appearances against Tottenham and Atalanta.

While Sterling hopes to break into Mikel Arteta’s starting XI, former Liverpool and Ireland defender Mark Lawrenson believes he’ll likely be used as an impact substitute.

“At Arsenal, I think Raheem Sterling will solely be used for squad depth, I don’t see him breaking into the starting team,” he told Paddy Power. “I’d imagine that the manager will have already told him that he’ll be a 25-minute man each week and that will be it, unless he does well when he gets a chance.”

Sterling may get another opportunity to impress against his former club, Manchester City, this Sunday.
