A man in Nairobi, Kenya, allegedly set his wife’s house on fire after a domestic dispute.
According to a Facebook post by Eric Mboya, the incident occurred on Wednesday, September 25th. The woman, who had acquired the house through a mortgage, had been experiencing ongoing disagreements with her husband.
Mboya reported that the man became jealous of his wife’s property and intentionally set the house ablaze. He poured gasoline on the house and lit it, watching as the flames consumed everything. The man reportedly chased away anyone who tried to intervene.
Mboya wrote: “A woman in Nairobi will tonight sleep outside after the husband torched her house. The two had been having differences for sometime. Today, the man went and bought petrol, poured on the house and lit a kiberiti. He made sure everything was burnt down as he watched and chased anyone who tried to come close. The woman had acquired the house through mortgage and the husband was jealous because he has nothing.”
