Man Previously Arrested for Stealing from Female Boss Arrested Again for Robbing Young Girls of Their Phones

Lagos State Police Commissioner Lanre Ishola announced the arrest of Kingsley Izoronwu, 37, during a press conference, highlighting a broader operation that apprehended over 200 suspects.

Izoronwu was taken into custody alongside two accomplices, Desmond Emeka, 28, and Sheriff Olusunmoadi, 25, for their involvement in a series of nighttime robberies targeting female passengers while operating a Toyota Camry.

The police operation, conducted on September 22, 2024, resulted in the recovery of a locally made pistol, six live cartridges, and twelve stolen iPhones.

During interrogation, Izoronwu confessed to the crimes and revealed that he had a prior arrest and was undergoing prosecution for stealing from his employer while residing in the Island area of Lagos.

Commissioner Ishola stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the suspects’ criminal activities and to identify any additional victims.
