Bako Bala, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Suru Local Government Area, Kebbi State, has been tragically killed in a shooting incident.
According to a Facebook post by Zaidu Bala, the Special Adviser on Television and Radio to Governor Nasir Idris, Bala was shot on Tuesday and succumbed to his injuries at a hospital on Wednesday.
He wrote: “To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. Alhaji Bako Bala has died APC chairman of Suru local government.
“He died after kidnappers kidnapped him and his family yesterday night where they shot him with gun, he died now at Medical Centre hospital in Birnin Kebbi. May Allah have mercy on him.”
