Rumors about the health of Cameroon’s President Paul Biya have intensified due to his prolonged absence, sparking speculation that he may have died in a military hospital in France.
Biya, 91, who has been in power since November 6, 1982, following the China-Africa Summit in September, was expected to return to Cameroon immediately afterward but has not been seen since.
As Africa’s second longest-serving president and the oldest head of state globally, his absence has raised concerns.
Additionally, there are claims that France is considering installing his eldest son, Franck Emmanuel Biya, as his successor to ensure “continuity.”
