The body of a 31-year-old woman was discovered buried in a shallow grave in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Her boyfriend, Oupa Kgaladi, has been arrested in connection with the murder.
According to reports, Kgaladi killed Angelina Mmako at their home in Vezubuhle, Kwamhlanga after she attempted to break up with him.
The victim’s family stated that she was weary of financially supporting her boyfriend and decided to end their relationship. Kgaladi allegedly poisoned Mmako and subsequently buried her beneath the bed in their residence.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi, issued a statement on Friday, October 18, 2024, commending the Kwamhlanga detectives for their diligent efforts in investigating the victim’s murder.
