Super Eagles B Summoned for CHAN Qualification

Super Eagles B head coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has called up 30 home-based players to begin preparations for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

The 8th edition of the continental tournament, exclusively for domestic-based players, is set to take place in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania in February 2025.

Among the invited players are Kano Pillars veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali, Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, Rivers United defender Steven Mayo, and Abia Warriors forward Sunday Megwo.

Other notable names include Enyimba FC goalkeeper Henry Ozoemena, Remo Stars wing-back Ismail Sadiq, Enugu Rangers midfielder Kazeem Ogunleye, and Nasarawa United forward Anas Yusuf.

The players are expected to report to the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State on Wednesday 4th December 2024.

The team will train there ahead of the first leg of the CHAN qualifier against Ghana’s Black Stars B at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday 22nd December. The return leg will be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday 28th December.
