The President-Elect of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, at the Presidential Villa, State House, Abuja, on Monday, 16 December 2024.
Mahama secured victory in Ghana’s recent presidential election with 56 per cent of the votes. He was warmly received by President Tinubu and the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.
His victory signals the end of eight years of governance under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for the two West African leaders to deliberate on regional cooperation, bilateral relations, and shared challenges within the sub-region.
