In a major drug bust, the Anti-Narcotics wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru, India, has arrested a 40-year-old Nigerian woman on drug peddling charges.
The operation resulted in the recovery of 12kg of MDMA valued at approximately Rs 24 crore.
The accused, identified as Roselime Oluchi Ikeoha, had been running a grocery shop in TC Palya for the past five years, using it as a front for drug peddling. During questioning, she admitted to sourcing the narcotics from another Nigerian woman based in Mumbai.

“This is one of the largest drug seizures in Bengaluru and Karnataka,” stated City Police Commissioner B Dayananda on Tuesday. Acting on credible intelligence, officers posed as buyers and approached Roselime at the KR Pura bus stand, where they seized a quantity of MDMA and arrested her. A subsequent raid on her residence in TC Palya led to the recovery of 12kg of MDMA and 70 SIM cards registered under different names.
The investigation revealed that Roselime’s regular customers included foreign nationals, university students, and employees of private firms. She confessed to sourcing the drugs from her contact in Mumbai, who is currently evading arrest.

The accused, who arrived in Bengaluru on a business visa five years ago, had overstayed as her visa had expired. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Foreigners Act.
Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the supplier.
