Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has removed the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Muhammad Aliyu-Ubamdoma, and dissolved the entire state executive council, which includes commissioners, senior special advisers, special advisers, and personal assistants.
The decision was announced during an emergency meeting at the Government House in Lafia on Friday, 3rd January, following Vice President Kashim Shetima’s visit to the state, where he inaugurated various projects.
A senior government source, speaking on condition of anonymity, indicated that while the exact reasons for the dissolution remain unclear, Governor Sule has previously restructured the state’s administration. In 2021, he also dissolved the executive council, citing the need for a more efficient governance structure.
