Tragedy struck in Ogbomoso, Oyo State on Tuesday, 7th January 2025, when a container lorry lost control and fell onto a commercial tricycle, killing three people.
The accident occurred at around 9:30 am at Takie Junction, trapping two female passengers and the tricycle rider beneath the fallen container.
Eyewitnesses reported that the lorry veered off course while negotiating a bend, causing the container to topple onto the tricycle.
Rescue officials later confirmed that all three victims had died.
Efforts are currently underway to remove the container from the road to prevent further accidents and restore normal traffic flow in the area.
