The naira continued its decline against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Monday, 13th January.
New data from FMDQ revealed that the naira weakened to N1,548.89 per dollar on Monday, down from N1,543.03, reflecting a decrease of N5.86 compared to the previous Friday’s close.
Similarly, in the black market, the naira ended the day at N1,667 per dollar, slightly down from N1,665.
Despite this drop, the naira remained relatively stable throughout the day, fluctuating between N1,545 and N1,660 per dollar at the official and parallel foreign exchange markets, respectively.
