An unidentified motorcyclist lost his life when a black Mercedes saloon car crashed into a pharmacy in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The accident occurred at around 2 pm on Saturday 25th January 2025, at Osuntokun junction.
An eyewitness reported that an overspeeding black Mercedes saloon car, travelling from Osuntokun Avenue, crossed the main Bodija-UI road and collided with the pharmacy near Grandex stores. The impact tragically killed a motorcyclist who was dropping off a passenger at the pharmacy.
The pharmacy store was severely damaged. Additionally, two other vehicles parked in front of the pharmacy were also affected.
The driver of the Mercedes sustained serious injuries and was immediately transported to University College Hospital (UCH).
The motorcyclist’s body was recovered from the shop and taken to the UCH morgue.
